A Christmas of Too Many Mince Pies and the Best Turkey Dinner Ever

This year for Christmas Adam, my Mum and I decided to stay in London in our little flat. It's a bit of a squeeze for three people, a dog, and a rather large Christmas tree, but it made it all the more cozy...

It has been a particularly soggy holiday so far, we haven't been able to leave the house without getting caught in a downpour, but we ventured out on Christmas Eve because Broadway Market held a special Christmas market - perfect for picking up those last minute brussels sprouts. We also collected a beautiful Christmas pie for Christmas Eve dinner - chicken and mushroom.

On Christmas Day we were woken up bright and early by Molly demanding her early morning walk in the park - it was freezing! But at least it had stopped raining. We came home to warm up with cups of tea and coffee, some toast, and present opening.

I stayed in my new Christmas pyjamas all day, even to walk the dog, and Adam stayed in his Christmas onsie for a lot of the day too. We made the most amazing turkey dinner I have ever eaten, with two types of stuffing, bread sauce, roast potatoes and all kids of veggies. And I ate one too many mince pies. All in all the perfect Christmas day.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!
