On March, and the Arrival of the Spring Sunshine

What a month March was! Over the last few weeks I've been trying to take a moment every now and then to reflect on all that I try to do - and I've realised just how busy I have been lately. I'm trying to take a step back from it all and to decide if I really need to be doing everything on my list. This year holds enough as it is, what with getting married in October and trying to get everything ready for a wedding in a different country. It's complicated!

But at the same time there is so much that I want to do. After weeks of planning, I'm happy to have finally launched One Day - a new series about dreams for the future. I've so loved reading all your contributions, they have been so inspiring. And all this talk about dreams has made me want to do more towards achieving my own. I have plans I want to develop for this blog, I want to work on putting together a portfolio, I have so many posts I want to share but just haven't had the time to edit. Who do I talk to about getting more hours in the day?

I was saying to Adam on Sunday that I wish I had more leisure time, to read a book or a magazine, or finish that scarf I started knitting four months ago. But I just have so many big projects I want to develop, and that means working hard. I have yet to figure out that work/life balance, but I think it just takes time and I'll get there eventually. And I am really lucky in that all the work I set myself to do is so much fun.

Maybe it's not about working harder, but working smarter. And there's something about the arrival of spring that makes me want to try out new routines and new ways of doing things. So here's to April, and finding a balance between hard work and lazy days.
