The Friday Edit

I’m sorry for the silence this week. Sometimes life just happens and there’s no time for anything else but just living. So I’ll leave you with a few things that have been keeping me smiling this week, and I’ll see you soon.

Obvious Child on Netflix! I think I must be the only person who has never heard of this film because whenever I try to tell someone about it, I mostly get a “yuh I know” response. But if you’re like me and you don’t know, go see it.

I had fun playing about with studio lights for the first time a few days ago, I’ve never used them before and I kind of feel like I’m going to have so much fun with them in the future. I used Profoto lights, which I loved!

If you didn't already see my endless stream of snaps from last Saturday, I saw Taylor Swift live in Hyde Park! I’m not even a little ashamed of my love for that girl, and I’m convinced that there are some sort of mind manipulation brain waves in her music because it’s impossible to listen to it and not feel super pumped about life.

Couscous made with chicken stock, then added: mint, spring onion, and orange segments + stir-fried orange chicken = heaven.

I couldn't buy a bottle of wine in the super market last week because I didn't have ID. I was secretly really happy about it!

Date night at Burger and Lobster last night. I think I would eat there every night if I could! Lobster always reminds me of my Dad because when we were little he took my brother and I on holiday to Nova Scotia and the two of us ate lobster almost every night. I was too little to crack my own lobster so my dad had to do it for me - and it's wasn't until I got older that I realised that must have been hell for him because he's allergic to fish!

I hope you all have a great weekend, and if you're in London you get to enjoy some of the sunshine!
