Adam and I went to see The National last winter at the Brixton Academy for my birthday. I had been wanting to see The National play for a long time and I always seemed to miss out on a ticket - but Adam always pulls through for me in the end.
It was one of the best evenings of my life. We were standing on the floor, almost at the front, and it was one of the few gigs I have been to at a large venue where I could actually see anything (because I am so little) - and I'm so glad I could. I'm so glad I didn't miss any of it.
Since then, Vanderlyle has become my favourite song of all time and I'll always remember how amazing it felt to stand there in the crowd.

And Adam even bought me a t-shirt at the end of it all, though I don't think he approves of people wearing band t-shirts. Pyjamas it is then!
