Autumn is my absolute favourite season. I find it comforting and bewitching at the same time - it's a season for dreaming. It's also a season for baking and putting pumpkin in everything. Here in London it's not so easy to find the kind of tinned pumpkin that you bake with, or pumpkin spice mix for that matter. If you wander on over to Whole Foods you can find it in their baking section, or you can even order it here off amazon.co.uk (believe it or not...).
I've still got a few tins left over from last winter though, so I'm really looking forward to trying out some of the recipes above. I think the pumpkin spice pancakes will be the first on the list.
Oh, and, Dear Starbucks: please bring the pumpkin spice latte to the UK. The British have a right to pumpkin too.
