I'm still not sure how to pronounce risgrynsgröt, but these days I'm more concerned with trying to figure out how to make like Nordinary does, and then eat it.
When we were at FEAST a couple of weeks ago, the food I most enjoyed eating was this Swedish rice pudding with stewed apples, pears and little bits of gingerbread sprinkled on the top. It was the last thing we ate at the end of the day, and while I was already painfully full, nothing was going to stop me from trying some risgrynsgröt - the smell was too much to resist.
Not only was this stall serving the nicest food, but it also had the friendliest people. Nordinary's website says they are setting out to bring Swedish street food to the UK - and I am so excited about this. If all of their food is as good as their risgrynsgröt then I will be a happy happy girl.
They don't yet have a fully fledged website, but they do have a space you can watch until they develop one. And in the meantime you can follow them on Twitter.
I'm not sure where they will turn up next, but you can bet I'll be there. One risgrynsgröt please, extra apples!
