Thinking of Green Spaces and Warm Places

We had our first snowfall here in London two nights ago, and it has been bitterly cold ever since. I'm thankful for massive down filled coats and extra long knitted scarves these days.

My morning routine at the moment involves waking up, leaping out of bed to switch the heating on, and then jumping back under the blankets as fast as I can until the room feels reasonably warm enough to allow me to get up and get ready for the day.

As winter stretches on I find myself drinking far more tea than anyone should, but warm cups are necessary to keeping my fingers moving and typing.

I'm daydreaming of spring and green trees, about tea dresses and sandals and lots and lots of flowers.
